Download FlowChassis

FlowChassis is a Go library. To use it in a program, add the module:

go get github.com/flowchassis/flowchassis@latest

It needs Go 1.24 or later and nothing else. The quick start has a first flow.

The Command-Line Tool

The flowchassis command lists the runs in a journal, shows any run’s history, checks a journal record by record, compacts it, and runs the crash demo. Each archive below holds the binary with the license files and the README. The links always point to the latest release.

System Download
Linux, x86-64 flowchassis_linux_amd64.tar.gz
Linux, ARM64 flowchassis_linux_arm64.tar.gz
macOS, Apple silicon flowchassis_darwin_arm64.tar.gz
macOS, Intel flowchassis_darwin_amd64.tar.gz
Windows, x86-64 flowchassis_windows_amd64.zip

Checksums are in SHA256SUMS. Every release is listed on GitHub.

Every binary is built from the tagged commit and, before the release goes out, runs the crash demo on its own kind of machine: Linux on x86-64 and ARM, macOS on Apple silicon, and Windows. The Linux binaries are static and run on any distribution.

Install

On Linux or macOS:

tar -xzf flowchassis_linux_amd64.tar.gz
sudo mv flowchassis /usr/local/bin/
flowchassis version

The macOS binaries aren’t signed by Apple, so macOS may ask you to allow them the first time. Or run xattr -d com.apple.quarantine flowchassis once.

On Windows, unzip the archive and run flowchassis.exe version from a terminal in that folder.

Try It

flowchassis demo

The demo runs 200 orders through a five-step flow in a worker process, kills that process 40 times at random moments, starts it again each time, and then checks every order against a ledger of what its steps did. It takes a few seconds and prints a JSON report. The testing post explains what it checks.
